Welcome to Tinni's Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms"). These Terms set out the legal basis for your use of Tinni. Please read them carefully to understand your rights and our rights before you begin using the service.
By subscribing to, accessing, or otherwise using the Tinni mobile application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use Tinni.

About Tinni
Tinni is a lightweight iOS application designed to provide sound therapy, frequency matching, binaural beats, and audio tools intended for tinnitus relief and management. The app operates fundamentally as a local-first audio synthesizer. We do not store any of your sound preferences, profiles, or usage data on external servers.
Medical Disclaimer — Not a Medical Device
Please read this section carefully:
Tinni is designed to provide audio tools for sound therapy, relaxation, and the general management and support of tinnitus symptoms. Tinni is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, disease, or hearing impairment.
Any audio frequency matching, hearing tests, or audiograms provided within the app are strictly for informational and customization purposes to enhance your personal audio experience. You should not rely on Tinni as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment — always consult with a qualified audiologist or healthcare professional regarding hearing-related concerns.
By using the app, you acknowledge that you use the sound generation tools at your own risk. We strongly advise monitoring your listening volume and avoiding prolonged exposure to high-volume sounds, which can further damage hearing.
Age and Eligibility Requirements
To use Tinni, you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country), and have permission from a parent or legal guardian if you are a minor. By using Tinni, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Payments and Subscriptions
Service Tiers: Tinni may offer both a free tier with basic features and a premium subscription granting full access to advanced audio tools, additional layering capabilities, and extended frequency limits.
Third-Party Payment Processing: All in-app purchases and paid subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple (the App Store). We do not process payments directly and do not have access to your billing information.
Subscription Terms:
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends.
- Cancellations and subscription management must be performed through your Apple ID settings on your iOS device.
- We cannot provide direct refunds. All refund requests must be handled directly through Apple according to their standard App Store policies.
Service Limitations and Changes
We aim to keep Tinni fully functional and reliable, but the app is provided "as is" and "as available."
- We may add, modify, suspend, or remove certain features or audio capabilities at any time to improve the app or adapt to technical constraints.
- Tinni may experience issues during iOS operating system updates. We will do our best to maintain compatibility, but we are not liable for temporary service interruptions.
Ownership and Intellectual Property
Tinni, including its source code, audio synthesis engine, design elements, interfaces, and branding, is owned by Andrei Matei PFA or its licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-commercial, and non-exclusive license to use the app. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, reproduce, or distribute any part of the app.
All sounds generated by the app are synthesized locally on your device in real-time. We do not claim rights to the combinations or mixes you create for your personal use.
No Guarantees and Limiting Our Responsibility
We work hard to ensure the app works beautifully under all conditions, but we make no warranties regarding the absolute accuracy, reliability, or therapeutic efficacy of the audio tools.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Andrei Matei PFA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to hearing changes, device issues, or data loss arising from your use of the app.
Legal Disputes
Governing Law: If you reside in the European Union, the laws of your country apply, and you can bring claims in local courts. If you reside elsewhere, Romanian law applies, and disputes must be handled in Romanian courts.
Contact Us First: If you face any issues, please reach out to us first. We want to help resolve any concerns quickly and amicably.
Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms over time to reflect updates to our features or legal requirements. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continuing to use Tinni after changes signify your acceptance of the updated Terms.
